Carl Ahlström was born and raised in South Africa. He completed his B.Eng (civil and urban design) Degree while working part time as Head Mathematics teacher for the Promaths Institute, teaching advanced level maths and problem solving. He also privately tutored various students of various ages in Science, Maths, Computer Programming, Engineering Design and Structures.

After completing his degree he worked as a civil engineer in South Africa for six years. He relocated to London in 1999 where he worked as a sought-after project manager and consultant for four years. He relocated to Thailand in 2003 and has been teaching corporate English at various institutes like Phuket Technology College and Elite Language School Bangkok. Carl is currently teaching business English at South East Bangkok College.

Carl is a person with a lot of mental and physical energy who has considerable enthusiasm for life. He enjoys assisting others in learning and mastering new knowledge. He is patient and has a heart for students and believes that knowledge is one of the keys to freedom.

He works well unsupervised as well as in a team and has excellent social skills. He has a proven track record for enabling students to understand even difficult subject matter. He has a modern and creative approach towards problem solving and combining logical and creative techniques.
