Delia Pereira was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. She received her Honours B. Drama Degree, after completing her BA Degree at the University of Stellenbosch. For her Honours B Drama degree she majored in Acting, and for her BA degree she majored in Drama and English. She also completed an Acting for Camera course with Maria Greco Casting in New York (2001) and an American Accent Perfection course with Sam Chwatt at New York Speech Improvement Services (2002-2003). She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild of America.

In 1999 she, together with her husband traveled to Taiwan where they taught English for 2 years. After this they traveled to New York, USA where they spent 2 years doing various performances, taking acting courses, teaching acting and participating in the American acting culture.

She has been teaching for 10 years and has taught both acting and English to students between the ages of 1 and 55 years old. She has performed leads in various television drama series and soap operas.

She is currently functioning as Actor Trainer at Three Little Fridges, Ltd.

Delia's interests include the theatre, observation and active participation, reading, movies, socializing, hiking, nature and religion.

She is a good communicator, with excellent social skills, who enjoys children and adults alike. She has lived on three continents and enjoys mixing with other cultures. She believes that this enables her to bridge cultural gaps in the classroom and it gives her a broad base for communicating with various age groups on a variety of topics. She is disciplined, self motivated, focused and demands a high level of excellence of herself regardless of what her work environment demands of her. She has an excellent sense of humour and enjoys all kinds of people. She relishes acquiring new knowledge and specifically likes to offer new skills to people. She believes that to teach people is a privilege and a responsibility that she takes very seriously.
